Red Hat Summit
If you missed Open Cloud Day at OSCON, you missed some spectacular presentations. We had a fantastic line-up and a sensational audience with brilliant questions. Did I mention it was really, really good?
But the purpose of this post isn't to gloat about being there, but to share some of the goodness with everyone else. Today's choice cut is Red Hat's own Steven Citron-Pousty, who helps spread the word about OpenShift. (And if you were at Open Cloud Day, you might enjoy giving it a second viewing.)
His presentation, "How to Build Your Applications to Scale in the Cloud," explains how you can best design a Web app hosted in the cloud to provide quick page loads and fast response times every single time. Enjoy!

Joe Brockmeier is the editorial director of the Red Hat Blog. He also acts as Vice President of Marketing & Publicity for the Apache Software Foundation.
Brockmeier joined Red Hat in 2013 as part of the Open Source and Standards (OSAS) group, now the Open Source Program Office (OSPO). Prior to Red Hat, Brockmeier worked for Citrix on the Apache OpenStack project, and was the first OpenSUSE community manager for Novell between 2008-2010.
He also has an extensive history in the tech press and publishing, having been editor-in-chief of Linux Magazine, editorial director of Linux.com, and a contributor to LWN.net, ZDNet, UnixReview.com, and many others.
